The Sakrets is a wall-mounted turret robot and enemy first introduced in Mega Man 9, tasked with guarding Splash Woman's stage, as well as the Wily Castle. It wheels itself around across walls and other vertical surfaces to align the trajectory of its projectiles.

Sakrets debuted in version 1.5.0 of Mega Man Maker.

Level Builder

The Sakrets is designated to the 5th layer, along with tiles and most level objects. The facing direction of the Sakrets can also be adjusted, which will affect the direction in which its projectiles are fired, and the position of its wheels. Its color can also be manually selected as either a bright green or a light blue, which has no effect on the Sakrets' behavior or attributes, and is merely an aesthetical difference.

Behavior

When placed in midair, or on a floor with the absence of a wall, the Sakrets will be affected by gravity and will lie in place, stationary and incapable of attack. However, when placed against a wall, it will begin rolling up and down its surface (initially downwards) on its wheels, in order to line up its attacks. If it encounters a gap in the wall or a floor/ceiling tile to impede its movement, it reverse direction and begin wheeling back across the wall in the opposite direction. It will also reverse direction if it bumps against one of the horizontal screen borders (the ceiling and the floor) of the visible screen.

After a brief period of moving around, the Sakrets will suddenly stop and place, firing a large cannonball away from its wall in its facing direction. The cannonball will travel at high speeds, passing through any terrain in its way, before slowing to a halt midair and exploding into six smaller projectiles of shrapnel. These shrapnel pellets are fired in six different directions, in the general shape of an asterisk or a 6-pointed star. If the cannonball is struck by the player's weapons and destroyed, it will explore prematurely. After the cannonball has exploded, the Sakrets will continue moving normally.

The Sakrets's cannonball has very inconsistent interactions with shield weapons - weapons such as Leaf Shield, Plant Barrier, Water Shield, and Acid Barrier are capable of defending against a Sakrets's cannonballs, but other weapons such as Star Crash and Skull Barrier prove ineffective. Plant Barrier in particular can destroy the cannonball without prompting it to explode into shrapnel. Methods of projectile reflection, such as Proto Man's shield, Jewel Satellite, and Shine can deflect the cannonball, defusing its explosive properties in the process. In addition, the Ice Wall is one of the few solid objects capable of blocking the cannonball, destroying it on contact.
