The Galaxy Man Teleporter is a level object in Mega Man Maker originating from Galaxy Man's stage in Mega Man 9. Teleporters were added to Mega Man Maker in version 1.0.0 while color variants for the Teleporter were added in version 1.5.0. A purple Teleporter variant was added in version 1.8.0. The Galaxy Man Teleporter is the very first of all Teleporter variants added to Mega Man Maker.
The Galaxy Man Teleporters appear as stacks of rings. Their color varies depending on the choices of the editor, but they all serve one function: to transport the player between two spots bypassing all obstacles. Once the player enters a Teleporter, they will be instantly transported to a corresponding Teleporter that will launch them upwards out of it. The editor can set up single-way Teleporters by putting down a Teleporter at the destination, immediately deleting it, and placing the second (entry) Teleporter in a different spot.
Mega Man 11 Teleporter
Mega Man 11 Teleporter is a level object based on Teleporters seen in Dr.Light's Challenges in Mega Man 11 and was added to Mega Man Maker in version 1.10.0. It's appearance consists of a floating shiny spherical pulsating hole, resembling a black hole, that comes in a variety of color choices in the Editor. These Teleporters feature the options of infinite teleportation from one location to another, or a single teleportation to one location.
Classic Teleporter
Classic Teleporter is a level object originating in Mega Man 1 and was added to Mega Man Maker in version 1.10.3. Classic Teleporters resemble capsules in appearance and offer multiple aesthetic styles based on multiple Mega Man games, where the player would face Boss refights at the end of each Mega Man game. These Teleporters feature the options of infinite teleportation between two locations, infinite teleportation from one Teleporter to the other, or a single teleportation once from one Teleporter to the other.
Trivia
- In Mega Man Maker many level creators would place tiles around the Galaxy Man Teleporters to prevent the launching of the player. This was done to emulate how standard teleporters work that are typically found in Robot Master refights in the latter part of Mega Man games. The reason this was done was due to Galaxy Man Teleporters being the only variant available at that time.
- The purple skin of the Teleporter was a highly requested skin by many users of the community, mainly Discord moderator Plasma Admin. It was showcased in the fourth anniversary announcement video to be added in version 1.8.0.
