The Propeller Eye is an enemy from Mega Man 6, debuting in Yamato Man's, Plant Man's, and Blizzard Man's stages. It is a floating surveillance drone, outfitted with a camera and a propeller for mobility.
Propeller Eye debuted in version 1.7.0 of Mega Man Maker.
Level Builder
The Propeller Eye is on the 6th layer of the editor (Close front), and as such, it can be placed over tiles, as well as some level objects.
Behavior
The Propeller Eye is a very simple enemy. By default, it is invulnerable to damage thanks to its protective armor, but the Propeller Eye will momentarily open up its shell to survey its surroundings, before promptly snapping shut. It will then open up once more, and move 3.5 tiles towards the player, before closing and resetting its pattern. As such, it can only be damaged during its surveillance animation, or during its movement. However, certain weapons, such as the Hyper Bomb or the Black Hole Bomb, are capable of killing them even without waiting for an opening. The Propeller Eye is not affected by terrain, and will pass through solid tiles while moving.
Trivia
- A variant of the Propeller Eye, known as Propeller Eye T, appeared in Mega Man 11. It is armed with a proper weapon in the form of a high velocity laser, and can be stunned by the Mega Buster's charge shot. As of 1.9.4.3, this variant is not included in Mega Man Maker.
- The Propeller Eye shares some similarities in both design and behavior to the Pukapelly, and could be considered a direct upgrade.
