Battan, also known as Robot Grasshopper in Mega Man for Game Gear, is a grasshopper robot from Bright Man's stage in Mega Man 4 and reappears in Mega Man for Game Gear. It was added to Mega Man Maker in version 1.7.0. It is listed as an enemy.
Behavior
Battan initially appears still in a set direction. When the player stands over it, it jumps the times it is set to and stops to face the other direction, only moving the same number of jumps back if the player character stands over it again. The number of jumps can be customized in the Level Builder, with the option to give it two 3.5-tile high jumps, three 3-tile high jumps, or randomly performing two high or three low jumps. As a solid asset, Battan is able to carry Push Blocks over it or stop Force Beams.
Since 1.8.4, instead of clipping into the terrain below, Battan is unable to carry heavy level objects such as Heavier Push Block and Mobile Push Blocks as well as MM11 Breakable Blocks since 1.8.4.1. If the player steps on a Battan that attempts to carry these objects, the Battan will remain still and wear a tired expression.
Battans are indestructible, and cannot be damaged in any form. They can also stack on top of other Battans. A Battan will crush any enemy, boss or playable character if they land onto them.
