0 is an error handler "weapon" that can only be accessed if the player edits another weapon's ID value to be a number that does not correspond with anything. It could also appear if the player loads a level with a weapon that does not exist within a certain update. When equipped, it prevents the user from attacking at all. If a Weapon Capsule was obtained prior to switching to 0, it will assume the color palette of the previous weapon. The weapon's icon appears to be randomized.
